Appetite for Design: Inspiration Kitchens
Inspiration Kitchens, 3504 West Lake Street, Chicago, IL
Chicago, IL

Head to Chicago for inspiration of the best type — meals! Inspiration Kitchens is a program that offers food service training and job placement for Chicagoans in need. The Garfield Park location is a 2011 Regional winner of the Social Economic Environmental Design competition and Recipient of the 2011 Chicago Association of Realtors’ Good Neighbor Award.

Saturday night, join Larry Kearns and executive chef David Rosenthall since they discuss how they came to design the 7,300-square-foot area, which houses an 80-seat restaurant and culinary training centre at a 1906 manufacturing building.

Additionally learn about the way the Inspiration Kitchens app motivated the design, and feast on a four-course dinner. About the menu? Honey-lime glazed scallops with pickled beet ribs, and sweet potato bread pudding with spiced peach compote and much more. Yum!
