Guessing Game: What Might Our Living Rooms Say About Us?

Like style, people’s house decor and design options say a lot about them. We don’t wish to jump to conclusions or judge a book by its cover, but often it is not overly difficult to understand a few basics of a individual’s lifestyle by taking a look at an area.

And that’s because most people need our homes to state something about us. We need them to be functional and comfortable, yes. Nevertheless, in regards to aesthetics, many people who care at all do so since decorating is a form of self-expression. It projects values and our moods and interests. Our temperaments are even expressed by it.

Any stranger walking in to my living room can quickly tell a couple of things about my family: We’ve got kids, we see a great deal, we journey, we’re busy and not overly concerned with neatness. It would not be difficult to also imagine our political affiliations, our income level, our religious leanings and we want to spend our leisure time.

Here are my guesses in the lives behind these 13 living rooms. I haven’t clicked on the photos to learn anything about them (including their location). So I could be quite wrong on all accounts, but it is an enjoyable sport.

What are your guesses? And what exactly does your living room say about you?
